Job Summary

Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia with an interest in Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia

Applications are invited for an individual to provide high quality anaesthetic care as a Consultant Anaesthetist based within the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre (EMCHC) at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

We undertake a range of congenital cardiac cases including surgery for univentricular hearts and catheter procedures such as RVOT stents and PA flow restrictors. Paediatric Cardiac Catheter procedures are undertaken within the new hybrid theatre. The centre is part of an excellent ECMO service for both paediatrics and adults.

Adult congenital cardiac surgery and catheter procedures are carried out at the Glenfield's hospital site and the successful candidate would be expected to provide cross cover.

If you are ambitious about what you do and strive to improve patient experience, bring your dedication and determination here and you will benefit from the support of an experienced and enthusiastic multi‑professional team committed to the delivery of brilliant patient care.

About us

We have four primary goals:

* high‑quality care for all,
* being a great place to work,

And we will embed health equality in all we do – taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
