Job Description:
As a Function Co-ordinator at Sodexo in Worthy Down Barracks, Winchester, you will assist with organising, planning and billing of the functions. you will also assist in setting up and delivering functions and hospitality. You'll interact with our Armed forces personnel every day, improving quality of life for all that you meet.
What you’ll do:
* Provide administrative and clerical support to Unit and Mess Managers
* Support the Events and Bar Manager with functions and pre-event preparations
* Manage function bookings and daily catering requests
* Handle cash, including balancing monies and processing payments
* Prepare and issue Mess bills in line with procedures
* Greet guests and respond to queries in a professional manner
* Answer calls, take messages, and manage incoming mail
* Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality at all times
* Support team operations, meetings, and general office tasks
* Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and compliant with standards
* Report incidents, faults, or safety concerns promptly
What you bring:
Essential:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Good organisational and administrative abilities
Desirable:
* Experience working in a military environment
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
