What You’ll Be Doing
* Supports the implementation of technical solutions for customers and colleagues, delivering on the resolution of inter‑system issues within cross‑functional squads.
* Assists in the execution of technical decisions, technology choices, and architecture for a wide range of high‑performance products, balancing short‑term impact with long‑term transformation.
* Designs and develops software solutions in accordance with the wider architecture and security standards.
* Undertakes technical reviews to continually update knowledge and skills in software engineering principles and practices.
* Contributes to the design of technical specifications and development of smaller or less complex initiatives, ensuring quality delivery in partnership with the team.
* Writes, tests, reviews, and refines code under supervision, communicating effectively with engineering professionals and colleagues.
* Integrates existing software products and solves routine problems to enable incompatible platforms to work together.
* Maintains systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.
* Supports the implementation and maintenance of high‑quality tools and automation processes to support continuous delivery and developer productivity.
* Delivers an ambitious technical roadmap that meets the needs of the business, engineering team, and partner teams.
* May support engineering and operational excellence initiatives, implementing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.
* Improves working processes within the area of software engineering responsibility.
* Designs and develops Digital’s Strategic Platforms.
* Delivers features to internal customers via cloud product suites.
* Unblocks issues in the cloud for customers when required.
* Engages with security and compliance teams to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose.
* Evangelises cloud‑first and software engineering principles to stakeholders.
Skills
* Understanding of the HR function within a global corporate organisation, including local HR legislation impacts on systems and processes.
* Experience working end‑to‑end across a service delivery value chain.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Clear thinker with vision, passion and energy.
* Strong attention to detail.
* In‑depth knowledge of the HR SaaS solution.
* Excellent documentation and written communication skills.
* Understanding of basic XML concepts, system development and testing.
* Understanding of GUI components such as radio buttons, pick lists, and other configuration items.
* Working knowledge of tools used in a run‑team environment (e.g., ticketing tools, testing tools).
* Experience with Agile methodology and Agile development.
