Job Title: Principal_Engineer/Delivery Lead Location: Surrey, UK- 2-3 days onsite- McLaren Technology Centre, Chertsey Road, Woking, Surrey GU21 4YH, United Kingdom Job Type: Permanent/Fixed Term Job Summary: Job Role: Overall responsibility for delivery of Electrical Systems Engineering and Software Systems & Controls Engineering support for Series programme. Define and oversee electrical architecture and integration strategies for infotainment and telematics systems. Lead software systems and controls engineering activities, ensuring compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity standards. Coordinate cross-functional teams for hardware-software integration and validation. Manage task assignment, prioritisation, and progress tracking across engineering teams. Interface with programme management, VLM, and engineering leadership to align technical deliverables with project milestones. Ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and compliance standards including ISO 26262 and ASPICE. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in delivery processes and engineering practices. Oversight of CRs, QCRs, and reporting for programme governance. Required Skills: Expertise in automotive electrical systems architecture and software integration. Strong leadership and team management capabilities for multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in embedded software development, diagnostics, and controls engineering. Knowledge of automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for global programme coordination. Experience with system validation, HIL testing, and vehicle-level integration. Ability to manage risk and implement mitigation strategies effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 10 years of experience in automotive software and electrical systems engineering. Proven track record in delivering complex programmes and managing global teams. Experience in infotainment, telematics, and controls engineering domains is highly desirable.
