The Commercial Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the commercial and sales teams by managing customer accounts, processing orders, coordinating quotations, and ensuring a seamless link between internal departments and clients. This position helps to drive business growth through efficient administration, excellent communication, and proactive commercial support.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Administration & Coordination
* Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are entered into the company’s CRM or ERP system.
* Prepare and issue quotations, order confirmations, and sales documentation in a timely manner.
* Coordinate between the sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure customer requirements are met and orders are fulfilled on time.
* Track sales opportunities and ensure follow-up actions are completed by the sales team.
* Support the preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial proposals where required.
Customer Relationship Management
* Serve as the main point of contact for customer enquiries and requests.
* Provide product, pricing, and delivery information professionally and accurately.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and distributors to support long‑term partnerships.
* Resolve or elevate customer issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
Commercial Support
* Assist in developing and implementing sales processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Support the commercial team in analysing pricing structures, margins, and sales performance.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial terms, and contractual agreements.
* Contribute to sales and marketing initiatives such as promotional campaigns, trade events, and customer communications.
Reporting & Data Management
* Maintain and update customer records, order data, and pricing information in CRM and ERP systems.
* Produce and distribute regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management.
* Monitor order trends, backlog, and stock availability to identify potential risks or opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a sales coordination, commercial support, or administrative role (ideally within a technical, manufacturing, or scientific industry).
* Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Hubspot, Sage) is desirable.
* Good understanding of order processing and commercial documentation.
* Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; further education or business qualification is advantageous.
