Role Overview
This contract position requires a Executive Chef to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced institutional or corporate dining environment. The role is critical to maintaining operational standards across meal services, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and dietary compliance. Work involves coordinating with kitchen staff, adhering to food safety protocols, and supporting daily service schedules in an on-site setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute daily meal preparation for staff and visitors in accordance with set menus and dietary guidelines.
* Supervise kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention.
* Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of fresh ingredients and minimize waste.
* Document food production records, allergen information, and compliance reports for internal and regulatory audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen environment.
* Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP) and valid health inspection clearance.
* Experience managing a team of at least 5 kitchen staff in a high-volume setting.
* Knowledge of budgeting and cost control within a culinary operation.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
