We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) Officer to join one of our public sector clients based in Hampshire, United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the full SNN process and demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures precisely.

The SNN Officer will act as the first point of contact within the authority for matters relating to the naming and renaming of streets and properties. You will be responsible for the allocation of house numbers, property names, and street names to new developments and property conversions, and for processing changes to existing addresses where necessary. Your work will ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant legislation and local policies.

Details:

Location: Hybrid - Hampshire

Contract: 3 months

IR35: Inside

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: DOE (expected between £200-250)

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Strong understanding of legislation and policies related to street naming and numbering.
* Ability to interpret and apply local authority policies and statutory guidelines.
* Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, particularly when working with GIS systems, postal address files, and valuation records.
* Proficient in technologies used for managing and updating address information.
* Thorough and accurate in maintaining records and documentation.

Communication and Interpersonal Competencies:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with developers, residents, postal services, and internal departments.
* Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle enquiries professionally and courteously.
* Effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, particularly in resolving disputes over street names or numbering.
