Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commissioning manager to join the Children's Commissioning Team in Dudley as the Strategic Commissioning Manager for Social Care.

Responsibilities
The Children's Commissioning Team is looking for an experienced commissioning manager that will lead our commissioning arrangements across children’s social care. Leading a team of skilled commissioning, quality and placements staff, you will be responsible for the delivery of a number of diverse projects and key activities including:
* Leading the implementation of commissioning models that improve outcomes for children and young people
* leading on the development and delivery of social care sufficiency strategies and arrangements
* developing quality assurance and contract management arrangements for commissioned children's services
* securing outcome-focused social care placements that meet the needs of children
* ensuring there is a sustainable, diverse and skilled market
* delivering plans to ensure demand and market development meets the needs and ambitions of people in Dudley, with a particular focus on children and families.

The Successful Candidate Will Be
* an experienced commissioner and experienced manager who has extensive knowledge of commissioning for children
* a dynamic leader, able to manage change and motivate staff
* ensure projects are delivered with success on time and within budget within a challenging social care landscape.
The post holder will report to the Service Manager for Children's Commissioning and will be responsible for leading programmes that actively contribute to the Children's Services Directorate outcomes and vision.
