Robert Half is seeking an IT Clinical Systems Engineer to oversee and enhance its portfolio of clinical applications across oncology, haematology, radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, and supporting systems (billing, interfaces, third-party integrations). This role is central to ensuring reliable system performance and leading the roll out of clinical systems across an expanding UK network.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert support for clinical applications, working closely with IT, Service Desk, and clinical teams.
* Manage system upgrades, new technologies, and integration activities.
* Build strong relationships with vendors and ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Act as the strategic technology partner to clinical stakeholders.
* Lead and deliver key projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Oversee application performance, reduce technical debt, and maintain system roadmaps.
* Maintain strong documentation and drive continuous improvement.
About You
* Strong background in clinical information systems and healthcare IT.
* Experience in system management, vendor engagement, and project delivery.
* Good understanding of IT infrastructure and platforms
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Computing degree, Microsoft/Citrix/ITIL certifications).
* Able to work autonomously and participate in on-call/occasional after-hours work.
