Ward Sister – Team Lead | Permanent | Excellent Benefits | Full Time | Sheffield

Spire Claremont Hospital based in Sheffield have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Sister / Charge Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis, working full time hours.

Spire Claremont Hospital has provided first-class independent healthcare at the heart of the South Yorkshire community since 1953. Our hospital is situated among beautifully landscaped grounds in Crosspool, Sheffield and it is situated 3 miles (about 20 minutes) to the south west of Sheffield city centre.

Claremont Hospital has 42 beds, three laminar flow theatres, 13 consulting rooms, a static MRI and CT scanner, and plain and digital X-ray. The hospital provides surgery and outpatients with diagnostic imaging services.

Contract Type: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ability to lead and coordinate on daily basis.
2. Troubleshoot and raise concerns to the Ward Manager
3. Support the nursing team, HCAs, and Ward Manager
4. Delegate work to others
5. Competent to make safe discharge decisions working with our consultant team

Who we're looking for:

6. You must hold a valid NMC pin with no conditions or restrictions
7. You must have a minimum of 2 years experience in surgical nursing.
8. You must have a teaching or assessing qualification.
9. Is an ALS provider (desirable)
10. Evidence of involvement in quality improvement
11. Experience in managing and leading teams.
