Overview
As part of the manufacturing team to ensure the correct operation of the chocolate line and that all production is made within the manufacturing specifications within standard procedures & processes, employing Continuous Improvement techniques.
Responsibilities
* To operate pre refiners & refiners within production, ensuring refining specifications are met, employing standard procedures & processes, aligned to food safety, quality & environmental, health & safety standards, completing process parameter records accurately. Process checks to ensure compliance to all standards are completed & recorded throughout the process. A small amount of manual additions according to recipe specifications.
* Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out and operate a clean-as-you-go policy aligned to good manufacturing practice.
* Participate in EHS and Food Safety activities on site (audits, safety observations & reporting).
* Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance management system.
* Comply with EHS, Hygiene, Food Safety and Allergen rules.
Qualifications
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team & to take accountability for areas of responsibility
* Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Safety mindset, IT literate
* Basic Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
* Basic English (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
* Proven use of CI tools
Other Information
* Must have effective communication skills, be proactive, self-motivated, and flexible
* Should also have good problem solving skills
* Would be desirable to have experience within the food manufacturing environment
* Shift role, including weekend & night shifts
