Overview
Family Court Adviser (Social Worker) – Public and Private Law Team. We are recruiting for the role in Sheffield and Hull. The role involves working in Cafcass's Public and Private Law team, undertaking direct work with children, gaining their views and wishes, presenting these to the court via written reports and giving evidence, and advocating for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child(ren). Salary: £41,550 - £46,332 + £2,000 Golden Hello. Location: Sheffield and Hull. We provide a hybrid working approach with resources and support to enable flexible and remote working, and proximity to the office is not always a critical consideration.
What we’re looking for
* You must be a Social Work England registered social worker who’s organised, resilient and able to work independently.
* Confident in your abilities, with demonstrable experience of working with children and families over a sustained period as a Social Worker.
Key responsibilities
* Work in the Public and Private Law team on cases where families need help agreeing welfare and safety arrangements for the child(ren), or where the local authority has concerns and Cafcass is involved.
* Undertake direct work with children, gain their views, and present these to the court via written reports and evidence, advocating for the child(ren)’s best interests.
