School Caretaker - Warrington Location: Warrington Contract: Full-time. Temp to Perm. 37 hours a week. Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in Warrington. This is a full-time, long-term position offering an excellent opportunity to take pride in maintaining a safe, clean and secure school environment. Main responsibilities: Act as a main key holder, ensuring the school premises are secure at all times Open and lock up the site daily, setting alarms and responding to callouts when required Support the Site Supervisor with day-to-day site duties and safety checks Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including minor decorating, joinery, and plumbing tasks Report and record maintenance issues and complete regular site inspections Supervise contractors on-site to ensure safe working practices Monitor and record meter readings for utilities Manage deliveries, cleaning supplies, and ensure safe storage Maintain tidy, safe outdoor areas and support school events or setup duties The ideal School Caretaker will: Have previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar maintenance role Be practical, trustworthy, and take pride in their work Be confident carrying out general repairs and using basic tools Be flexible with hours to meet the needs of the school If you're a hands-on, dependable person who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.
