Are you a compassionate and experienced nurse leader ready to take the next step in your career? CHAS is seeking two Senior Charge Nurses to join our team of eight Senior Charge Nurses leading our hospice care teams, one in Rachel House and one in Robin House. These are pivotal roles in our Nursing and Family Support directorate, as we work towards transforming the experience of children’s palliative care across Scotland.

About the Role

As a Senior Charge Nurse, you’ll be a visible leader, responsible for the smooth running of the hospice, ensuring safe, high-quality, holistic, person-centred care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. You’ll lead clinical practice, enhance patient experience, manage team performance, and contribute to CHAS’s strategic goals. You’ll also participate in our nurse on-call rota and hold the role of registered manager for the hospice under Healthcare Improvement Scotland regulations.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

* Paediatric Nursing Degree / Registered Nurse (Child), (Master’s level study is an advantage)
* Extensive experience in senior nursing roles (NHS Band 6 or above)
* Expertise in children’s palliative and end-of-life care
* Proven leadership and service development experience
* Strong clinical skills in paediatric complex care
* Track record of supporting change management in teams
* A passion for quality improvement and collaborative working
