We’re a high-quality fostering organisation, recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, and one of the UK’s only independent fostering agencies specialising in cultural and faith-based fostering placements.
That’s what we set out to do in, and we’re still doing it today. Our focus is on helping children and young people with specific religious or cultural needs find foster parents who share their values and identity and can provide a safe and loving home. As such we provide a specialist service and in our most recent inspection in, OFSTED rated us as ‘Outstanding’ in every area of our work
Our head office is in the West Midlands, but as out reputation and services have grown, so has our presence across the UK. We now have an office in Blackburn and also cover the East Midlands and Yorkshire. We are fortunate to have Kulvinder Kaur Sahota as our manager in process of registration and are a close, supportive staff team.
We are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced social work leader in to our management team.
About the Role:
As Fostering Service Manager you will work closely with Local Authorities, our staff team and foster parents for the benefit of our children. Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, you will provide positive and strong leadership and management to your team to ensure high-quality care for children and young people while supporting and empowering our foster parents. Your role will include:
1. Retention and Support: Building strong, trusting relationships with foster parents to enhance retention and satisfaction, ensuring they feel valued and supported at every stage of their journey.
2. Wellbeing and Engagement: Fostering a culture of empathy and support, prioritising the wellbeing of both staff and foster parents, and creating a positive, inclusive environment.
3. Commercial Growth: Developing and implementing strategies to promote the commercial growth of the agency, ensuring long-term sustainability and stability.
4. Leadership and Development: Leading a dedicated team of social workers, supporting their professional growth, and maintaining high standards of practice.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring that the service meets and exceeds regulatory standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with local authorities, commissioners, and other external partners to promote the agency and strengthen relationships.
About You
You will be a compassionate, resilient, and inspiring leader, with a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for children, young people, and foster families. You should have:
7. A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
8. Significant experience in fostering or children’s social care
9. A proven track record of supporting and retaining foster parents.
10. Strong leadership and team management skills.
11. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
12. A commitment to promoting the wellbeing and resilience of both staff and foster families.
