Senior Contracts Litigator
Join Direct Line Group to lead civil litigation for consumer contracts (including new build and misrepresentation) and professional negligence disputes. You will manage claims from initial assessment through final hearing and enforcement across fast, intermediate and multi‑track cases.
Responsibilities
* Provide accurate and clear legal advice, managing clients' expectations and explaining decisions and the steps in the claims process.
* Take reasonable steps to settle claims, recover costs and maintain accurate system records.
* Identify learning & development needs and opportunities for self and wider team progression.
* Support the strategic development of department best practice, product performance and the customer experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
* Supervise junior members of the team – review correspondence, court documents, weekly file reviews and mentoring.
Qualifications
* A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years experience.
* Experience dealing with consumer contracts and professional negligence for fast, intermediate and multi‑track claims.
* Ability to work with the wider team and help upskill individuals in technical/complex matters.
* Experience using a Case Management System.
* Experience managing, mentoring and developing junior staff.

Working Hours
