About the Role:Our client, a well-established and growing company in the industrial / logistic sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead their warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in warehousing to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet daily targets and deadlines.
* Coordinate all daily warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
* Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure efficiency across all warehouse functions.
* Maintain accurate stock control and inventory levels, completing regular stock audits.
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are strictly adhered to.
* Liaise with transport, customer service, and purchasing departments to coordinate logistics.
* Handle and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the warehouse, such as damaged goods or inventory inaccuracies.
* Operate FLT (Forklift Truck) equipment safely and effectively as required.
* Train and onboard new staff, ensuring all team members are properly supported and informed.
* Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory, track performance, and report on KPIs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Valid FLT License (Counterbalance or Reach – specify if required)
* Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in warehouse systems, procedures, and health & safety regulations
* Good IT skills, including experience with WMS or stock control software
* Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks as required
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
