We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual to join our Clinical Practice Educator team within the Private Care Division at Imperial Healthcare Trust. This is an ideal role for you if you are looking to take on a position of leadership to inspire, influence and coach others to deliver excellent care by creating an environment conducive for our staff in maximising their clinical skills.
The candidate will impact on patient experience and outcome through developing a highly skilled, competence and educated workforce and be responsible for education across all 3 of our private sites within the Directorate of Private Care.
The candidate must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety and be willing to share and learn from incidents with a good understanding of governance and organisational priorities and challenges.
They will also have establishment self-management skills, including time management, prioritisation and organisational skills and will be responsible for developing evidence based educational material in delivering training in an engaging and innovative way.
You will support the undertaking of training needs analysis and maintain registers of training, supporting teams and departments to enable staff to complete appropriate training and identify further opportunities for individuals. This will include supporting the induction of new staff and identifying their training needs in partnership with the clinical team.
Main duties of the job
1. To maintain an effective educational environment through coaching and staff development, whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team at large. Enabling and ensuring delivery of high quality, safe and effective care, thus improving the patients’ experience.
2. To act as an expert practitioner, resource and role model to encourage evidence based practice and provide support and supervision to all staff, including those on professional development courses.
3. To be responsible for the development of education and training programmes adapting them as necessary and achieving education and training targets.
4. To collaborate in the strategic development of the service.
