Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Car Sales Manager to oversee our car purchasing and sales operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the automotive industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive business performance through effective management of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase vehicles from online auctions and manage the sales team while monitoring car availability to maintain car stock.
Authorise payments for cars purchased online and from customers on-site.
Inspect quality of cars received and ensure they are advertised online effectively.
Set and review pricing strategies for vehicles, including approving discount rates.
Provide customers with detailed information about vehicle specifications and ensure excellent customer service.
Teach staff to promote and upsell additional products and services eg warranties, finance packages, aftercare services, to maximise sales opportunities.
Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding sales effectively and professionally.
Track and record finances and daily car sales to ensure targets are met and business performance is maximised.
Recruit, interview, and appoint new sales staff members.
Lead and delegate tasks to the sales team, hold meetings to discuss performance and financial goals.
Requirements:
Degree in business.
Proven experience in car sales, purchasing, or a similar automotive role.
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet financial targets.
Knowledge of vehicle mechanics and online car auctions preferred.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Working Days: Monday – Friday (with flexibility for occasional weekends if required)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £42,000.00 per year
