Job description
Fermanagh CWS is open five days a week and supports individuals who are often isolated, living with long-term anxiety, low mood, or depression. Many of our participants are not actively linked into formal services, some are self-referred, others come via GPs or partner agencies. Through group activities, outreach support and meaningful social connection, we offer a safe, empowering space where people can rediscover their confidence and routines.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of morning group activities and afternoon outreach (80% centre-based, 20% outreach).
* Facilitate or co-facilitate walking groups, gardening sessions, IT workshops, and social wellbeing programmes.
* Build meaningful one-to-one connections with service users, offering practical and emotional support.
* Work flexibly across both our Fermanagh and Lisnaskea satellite services.
* Collaborate with staff to tailor activities to participants’ interests, needs and recovery goals.
* Help shape a positive, vibrant, and client-led centre environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* To be flexible and work such hours as required by the post in order to meet the needs of the service.
* A full current driving licence and access to a car. Business insurance will be a requirement of this post. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
* Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting. OR
* A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
* Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
* Experience of maintaining service user and agency records
* Working knowledge of using IT systems.
