Property Surveyor (Peripatetic)
Location: Flexible - Covering Watford Area
Salary: Circa £41,722 pro rata, depending on experience
Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Peripatetic Property Surveyor to manage property investment, inspection, and major repairs across our UK portfolio. Reporting to the national Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for budgets of £1.75m - £2.5m. You will play a crucial role in maintaining property quality and compliance while delivering timely services. We offer multiple opportunities within our growing surveyor teams, focusing on regional roles to minimize travel and enhance project delivery within specific areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the delivery of major repairs, investment, and project activities, ensuring properties are well-maintained within budget and strategy targets.
* Oversee contract administration and delivery of key national projects, collaborating with housing/care operations and contractors to provide high-quality, resident-focused services.
* Work with the Strategic Partnership Team to produce accurate delivery and financial forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Conduct regular site visits, engaging with operational colleagues and residents to ensure effective implementation of actions.
About You:
* You are proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong background in property management and building pathology.
* You have at least 3 years of experience managing property activities in a housing environment, particularly in social housing maintenance or planned investment.
* You possess extensive knowledge of building pathology and remediation, with project management experience in investment or maintenance.
* You have experience in decarbonisation projects and interpreting operational data for service planning.
* You demonstrate strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of building trust and collaborating effectively.
* You are creative, capable of solving complex building issues, and delivering cost-effective solutions.
* Significant experience in building pathology within housing and working towards MRICS or MCIOB status is desirable.
