Job overview Week one, Thursday - Friday 10:00 - 18:00 Week two, Saturday - Sunday 10:00 - 18:00 The Porter plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of site services. This position provides essential portering duties, ensuring continuity and high standards in the service delivery. The role is designed to operationally support all necessary and essential deliveries required for Housekeeping and Catering Departments, maintaining efficiency and meeting the growing demands of the facilities service. The Porter contributes directly to creating a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Advert The Porter is responsible for providing support to catering and housekeeping teams as well as external environments on site. Key duties include daily delivery of patient food, linen and stock to wards as well as removal of Clinical and General waste, this role ensures HK and Catering departments are supported with the services they provide. They are essential in the movement of multiple deliveries to site and the delivery and removal of Oxygen equipment required. The porter is vital in keeping external environments clean and well maintained and ensures continuity of essential services, upholding high standards and meeting the demands of the facilities team. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The Porter is responsible for supporting the delivery of essential services across catering, housekeeping, external environments and Clinical Colleagues. This includes delivering food, stock, linen, oxygen, maintaining high standards and ensuring timely movement of equipment, supplies, and waste.
