Responsibilities
This is an established role within a team of Housing Assistants who assist the Tenancy Management Officers in delivering tenancy management for all the Council’s housing stock. The role works closely with other teams within the Housing Department to support tenancy management and related housing services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assist the Tenancy Management Officers in delivering tenancy management for housing stock.
* Provide front-line customer contact (face-to-face and telephone) and support customers with housing issues.
* Input information accurately into Housing Management Systems and maintain accurate records.
* Work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a responsible approach.
Qualifications and skills
* Proven practical experience of dealing with the public in a front-line capacity.
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy to advise customers on Housing issues and input information accurately into Housing Management Systems.
* Ability to deal with customers both face to face and on the telephone.
* Ability to work within a team environment using own initiative with a responsible and flexible attitude.
