The role
Computing, mathematics and data analytics are disciplines that drive innovation, optimize decision-making, and enable smarter solutions across sectors. We are seeking an outstanding multidisciplinary academic tutor with ability to leverage and teach mathematical and statistical concepts, and their importance in driving scalable analytical solutions on our UG/PG programmes.
We’re really proud of our work environment, undergraduates, postgraduates, and research students work together alongside academic and support staff. The way we teach here is non-traditional, you won’t be handed a menu of content to serve up to the students. Instead, we follow an applied, project-based approach to learning.
You’ll spend most of your classroom time helping students work on their own projects, which are run in the same way as in the IT industry. You and your students will always be connected to what’s going on in the real world.

The department
The School of Computing and Digital Technologies is a large and vibrant school engaged in taught programs, research and innovation, and knowledge exchange. All our UG and PG programs are underpinned by project-based learning, which facilitates embedding industry experience across all the programs. The school is home to the multi-disciplinary team that composes the Smart Interactive Technologies lab, which focuses on innovative research and developments investigating all the aspects of modelling and applying physical and intelligent systems, which coexist harmoniously.
The School of Computing and Digital Technologies is in the top ten biggest computing departments in the UK, with more than 2,000 students and nearly 100 staff.

£32,080 to £38,784 per annum (depending on experience)
