Part Time Temporary Finance Administrator
Hays are working with a reputable organisation seeking a Part-Time Finance Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for the next few months. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for flexible hours within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your New RoleIn this varied and fast-paced role, you will provide essential administrative and transactional support to the finance team. Key responsibilities include:Purchase Orders & Invoicing
* Matching invoices to purchase orders and checking for accuracy.
* Highlighting missing or incorrect PO information and escalating where required.
* Ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely and compliant manner.
Finance Inbox Management
* Acting as the first point of contact for the shared Finance Inbox.
* Monitoring, triaging, and responding to queries.
* Directing emails to the appropriate person when required and ensuring efficient follow-up.
Customer & Supplier Accounts
* Receiving and reconciling customer and supplier statements.
* Identifying discrepancies and following up on missing invoices or credit notes.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes.
General Finance Support
* Providing wider administrative support to the finance team.
* Assisting during busy periods and contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.
* Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
* Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
* Competence with finance systems and Microsoft Office.
