Salary - £32,280 plus excellent benefits and career progression
As part of this role, you will carry out general duties, including all aspects of digging associated with LV service jointing, column/sign/bollard erection/removal, and related cable networks.
You will also handle driving, delivery, and general yard duties to support the Lighting and Grid business.
Main Responsibilities of the role
1. Remove or decommission assets as required.
2. Install and decommission street lighting equipment and EV connections.
3. Drive company vehicles, including HGVs.
4. Operate lorry-mounted crane.
5. Perform excavation work for joint holes, columns, signs, bollards, and cable runs.
6. Use tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
7. Support skilled and specialist operatives.
8. Work safely, adhering to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies.
9. Follow operational practices and risk assessments.
10. Take responsibility for personal Health & Safety.
11. Mentor young and vulnerable persons on site.
12. Wear PPE at all times.
What we need from you
1. Current NRSWA qualification LA 01 to 08 + 08.
2. High manual dexterity.
3. Willingness to work unsociable hours if needed.
4. Ability to understand and follow work instructions.
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Polite and courteous interaction with the public during work.
It would be great if you have
1. G39, HESA 210 and 214 safe isolation qualifications.
2. MEWP CPCS qualifications.
3. Up-to-date UK HGV Class II Driving License.
4. CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
