Connect Appointments are recruiting a skilled CAD/CAM Operative to join our client's growing team in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in the design and manufacturing process.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
Paid at £30,000 per annum - depending on experience

Career progression opportunities with a great local employerWorking as a CAD/CAM Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
Converting CAD designs into CAM programs for CNC machinery
Testing and simulating designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintain accurate documentation of designs and programs.
Troubleshooting issues with designs, programming, or machinery
Working closely with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency
Working with other teams to implement any changes to drafts as soon as possible
Conducting research - when requiredTo be successful in this CAD/CAM Operative position, you'll have previous experience working in a CAD/CAM role, along with being proficient using software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Other key skills, traits and experience include:
A completed course in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - beneficial
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
