Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious dishes that reflect our restaurant's vision while leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Care Home Chef experience is preferable.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to in the kitchen.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high levels of performance.
* Assist in menu planning, including the development of new recipes and seasonal offerings.
* Manage inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
* Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
* Proficient in various cooking techniques, with a passion for culinary arts.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
