Van Driver
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Van Driver to join a well-established company based in Newcastle. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Working mainly across Newcastle and surrounding County Down area, this role offers consistent daytime hours, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to join a highly respected business.
Shift Pattern:
1. Week 1: Monday to Saturday, 5:30am – 1:00pm
2. Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30am – 1:00pm
Responsibilities
3. Safely operate a commercial van in line with all road traffic laws and company procedures
4. Complete multi-drop deliveries efficiently and accurately across Belfast City Centre and surrounding areas
5. Plan and follow the most effective delivery routes
6. Load and unload pre-boxed goods safely and professionally
7. Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
8. Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
9. Always provide excellent customer service
10. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules or delays
11. Report any incidents, accidents, or delivery issues immediately
Requirements
12. Full UK Category B Driving Licence essential
13. Minimum 1 years’ commercial driving experience
14. Strong knowledge of Belfast City Centre and local surrounding routes
15. Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
16. Self-starter with the ability to work independently
17. Self-motivated, reliable, and highly organised
18. Professional attitude with excellent timekeeping
19. Good awareness of vehicle safety and basic maintenance checks
20. Strong communication and customer service skills
