Category Lead - Flavours and Ingredients role is responsible for development and execution of Twinings OVO food ingredient category strategies with key supply projects and identification of optimisation opportunities. The role will also draw on existing and new supplier networks to enhance our competitive advantage through innovation and analysis of existing business to deliver cost saving initiatives from the multi-milion category across Twinings Supply Chain (UK, Poland, India) and OVO businesses (Switzerland, Thailand, China) Key Responsibilities Source new ingredients/technologies through existing and new suppliers Build strong relationships with suppliers. Drive through cost saving initiatives. Support and improve supplier performance through engagement and SRM. Grouping of ingredient types and creation of procurement strategies ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, ESG, BCP and innovation. Manage the budget process with periodic reporting. Conduct pricing negotiations using e-sourcing tools and arrange contract agreements. Work closely with R&D, advising on commercial viability and contributing to supplier selection and engagement. Work in collaboration with our food safety and quality teams.
