Responsibilities
* Check delivery routes for the day and load/prepare the van for deliveries.
* Ensure orders are organized for efficient delivery to customers.
* Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance, health and safety.
* Represent the Waitrose brand with a focus on excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.
Essential skills and experience
* Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong time management abilities.
* Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Comfortable working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
