Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager
Location: Lancaster
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 1:30 pm
Our client, a well-established Manufacturing and Warehousing business in Lancaster, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role due to business growth, and the ideal candidate will have a background in Manufacturing/Production and possess NEBOSH qualifications.
The position presents an opportunity to create a positive HSE culture within the company and play a pivotal role in the implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the implementation of effective control measures to create a safe working environment.
* Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HSE matters, promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
* Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and standards.
* Deliver HSE training programs to enhance awareness and understanding at all levels of the organization.
* Collaborate with internal teams to integrate HSE considerations into the design and planning of new projects and processes.
* Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, fostering a positive HSE culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
* Proven experience in HSE management within a Manufacturing/Production environment.
* Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
