 
        
        We are on the lookout for a Structral Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork Estimator
Our client, is a well-established steelwork contractor based in Leighton Buzzard, who provide a comprehensive design and build service covering both architectural metalwork and structural steelwork. Their portfolio ranges from domestic extensions through to prestigious commercial projects, and they pride themselves on delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions from conception to completion.
The Role
Due to continued growth, my client is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator with a strong background in Structural Steel and Architectural Metalwork. This is a key role within the business, offering long-term stability and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
 * Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for structural steel and architectural metalwork packages
 * Interpret technical drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
 * Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and suppliers to ensure full project understanding
 * Carry out material take-offs and cost breakdowns
 * Identify and assess project risks and opportunities
 * Support project and contracts teams with cost information post-tender
 * Keep up to date with market rates, materials and industry trends
Skills and Experience Required
 * Proven estimating experience within the structural steel and architectural metalwork sectors
 * Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation processes
 * Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
 * Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
 * Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
 * Competent with Microsoft Excel and estimating software
 * Ability to manage own workload effectively and work as part of a team
Working Arrangements
 * Ideally office-based, 5 days per week in Leighton Buzzard

They Offer:
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (DoE)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Annual Leave: 28 days (including Bank Holidays)
Pension: NEST Pension Scheme
