We are looking for a Podiatrist to join our small, committed Community team in beautiful Herefordshire. This role offers a diverse and interesting job in a green, scenic environment.
Our Community Podiatry service conducts clinics across Herefordshire, with the main clinical base in Hereford city.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated Podiatrists capable of working in various clinical settings, including clinics. We seek someone interested in developing their skills in specialist areas such as nail surgery, MSK Podiatry, and Diabetes care across Herefordshire. There are opportunities to collaborate with our acute diabetic foot team and podiatric surgical colleagues.
Management of a domiciliary caseload is required. Part-time work will be considered, and informal inquiries and visits are welcomed.
Main duties of the job
* Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including patient education, for foot conditions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and maintain tissue viability.
* Deliver podiatry services for patients with complex foot pathologies, often with coexisting long-term conditions like Diabetes.
* Assess, diagnose, and manage patients, devising and implementing care plans, and taking responsibility for patient discharge.

Person Specification
* Excellent communication skills and adaptability to various clients and situations.
* Ability to lead, train, and mentor others.
* Debridement skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.
* Local Anesthetics Certificate.
* Recent experience in Nail Surgery.
Education & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Podiatric Medicine.
* Registered with HCPC.
* Member of the Royal College of Podiatrists.
* Completed an accredited Specialist Diabetes module.
Experience
* Managing a large, complex caseload.
* Working autonomously.
* Recent NHS experience.

This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary ranges from £37,338 to £44,962 per year (pro-rata), depending on experience.
