The Vacancy We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Trainee Production Technician! In this role, you will play a key part in the Production Assembly team, responsible for manufacturing high voltage and high current test equipment used across the UK and globally. You will be testing, fault-finding down to component level, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic products ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. You’ll also contribute to improvement initiatives in our drive toward a lean manufacturing environment. This position is an entry-level role with opportunities for skill development and career advancement. Key Responsibilities Fault find, repair, calibrate and test electronic field and bench type equipment. Fault find and repair at printed circuit board level, including replacing surface mount components. Follow test specifications and safe systems of work, adhering to COSHH and risk assessments. Participate in continuous improvement activities and represent Manufacturing in New Product Development teams. Experience, Skills & Qualifications Essential requirements Education to Level 3 standard (A-level, BTEC or equivalent), ideally in a technical subject or relevant practical experience. Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills. Ability to follow instructions with excellent attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. Desirable Qualification in an electronic discipline (or equivalent). Ability to read and understand schematics, manuals, or circuit diagrams. Awareness of engineering/mechanical drawings. Exposure to component-level fault finding and repair. Previous hands-on experience in a technical or electronics environment.
