As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are building a strong in-house engineering team to support our sites and maintain consistently high standards across all properties.
The Role We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day upkeep of our buildings. You will play a key role in ensuring our properties remain safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
This is a practical, multi-site role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), and carrying out in-house compliance checks.
Key Responsibilities Repairs & Maintenance Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance across multiple sites
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
Deliver a high standard of workmanship across general maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, and decorating
Ensure member areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to a high standard
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) Complete scheduled PPM tasks in line with site requirements
Support the delivery of both statutory and non-statutory maintenance programmes
Ensure all PPMs are completed on time and accurately recorded
Compliance & In-House Checks Carry out routine building checks and inspections
Support compliance activities including fire safety checks, water hygiene tasks, and plant inspections
Accurately log all checks and escalate any risks or issues identified
General Duties Work closely with site teams and communicate updates clearly
Support external contractors on site when required
Maintain tools, plant rooms, and workspaces in a safe and organised condition
Contribute positively to the wider engineering and operations team
What Were Looking For Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
Strong all-round technical skills (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating)
Experience carrying out PPMs and building checks
Good understanding of health and safety within a residential or commercial environment
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused
Desirable (but not essential) Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, 18th Edition)
Experience within residential, co-living, student accommodation, or hospitality environments
