The Opportunity
The consultancy is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its established and growing team in Plymouth. Key Attributes & Experience
The successful candidate will bring strong technical, commercial, and interpersonal capability. Requirements include:
Minimum 2 years’ PQS experience within a construction consultancy environment.
MRICS or equivalent professional qualification (or clear commitment to achieving it).
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement routes, design coordination, and contract administration.
Demonstrable experience in budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and driving project profitability without compromising quality.
Confident managing NEC, JCT, and other contract forms.
Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project and commercial risks.
Excellent relationship-building and client engagement skills.
Strong project management capability—able to deliver against key milestones and manage complex timelines.
Clear communication skills, able to update clients and senior stakeholders concisely and confidently. What's in it for me?
