Our client is seeking a motivated and technically minded Technical Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This is a dual office- and field-based role focused on promoting and selling fall protection products and services. The role involves conducting site visits, performing surveys, and holding face-to-face client meetings alongside office-based sales activities and regular training.
You will play a key role in generating and converting leads, managing key accounts, and building strong client relationships. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially driven, technically adept, and eager to contribute to strategic growth in a specialised industry.
Key Areas of Focus
* Growth of fall protection product and service sales
* Expansion of sales to end users
* Development of repeat customer relationships
* Maintenance and growth of profit margins
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve personal sales targets and report daily sales and quotations
* Take ownership of key accounts and contracts with a focus on new business
* Generate leads via calls, prospecting, and lead generation systems
* Follow up quotations and maintain project tracking database
* Attend monthly performance review meetings to assess and improve results
* Visit sites to conduct surveys and assessments for quotations
* Develop major accounts including contractors, installers, and end users
* Carry out additional sales-related tasks as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications & Skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and information
* Experience in solution-based selling (preferred)
* A proactive and growth-oriented mindset
* Previous exposure to the construction industry (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
* Comfortable working at height and willing to travel
* Competency in CAD software and CRM systems
* Strong team player who can also work independently
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
