The role of Estimator within our busy Business Development team and will require an organised, self-motivated and meticulous approach. You will be required to collaborate with our clients at a senior level with a view to developing relationships to increase our likelihood of securing contract opportunities. You will also be responsible for the entire tender process, from developing accurate and detailed tender proposals to negotiating prices and contract terms with the client.
You will also develop a good relationship with the Network Plus and Littlewood operations team to ensure a fluid handover process into the construction phase.
Surveying & Estimating
Survey potential work sites: establish ground and site conditions, confirm scope of work and specific design and specification requirements
Produce detailed survey reports for pricing and future co-ordination of works
Analyse plans, complete take off’s, produce bills of quantities and assess other project documentation in order to provide an accurate and compliant tender submission
Research, source, negotiate and obtain the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Identify the best solution to achieve our client’s requirements, offering a competitive price and best value, whilst maximising our return on the project
Assess the financial, technical and operational risks of the project, and factor this into our quotes
Formulate detailed programmes in line with the project contract requirements
Understand site specific risks and complete analysis of these for presentation in the tender risk register
Monthly review and analysis of estimating figures with a view to converting leads and improving success rates
Attend meetings throughout England and Wales with both new and existing customers to promote Network Plus and Littlewood within the fencing industry
Utilise the Pipedrive CRM system to record, share and monitor leads & enquiries
Construction industry experience (Fencing experience beneficial)
Good commercial understanding and awareness
Teamworking, relationship-building and influencing skills
