Job Title: Shift Engineer

Working Hours: Rotating Shift – 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)

About the Role
We are seeking a Shift Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in Bromborough. With recent investments in new equipment and greenhouse gas (GHG) initiatives, we are building a strong foundation for the future of the site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and safety of our manufacturing equipment, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain all site assets to a high standard, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
* Execute planned and reactive maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
* Drive plant reliability through hands-on interventions, improvements, and analysis.
* Apply and communicate robust safe systems of work and risk assessments.
* Deliver on Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Support the development of standards for equipment and facilities.
* Manage engineering stock control and ensure accurate system records.
* Coach and train production colleagues to enhance equipment knowledge and performance.
* Promote a culture of professional engineering and continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Recognised qualification in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
* BTEC Engineering Certificate or equivalent.
* Broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical, PLCs, and Inverter Assets.
* Experience in risk assessment and safe maintenance practices.
* Competence in working with high-hazard equipment and safe isolation procedures.
