An exciting opportunity has arisen for two dynamic and highly motivated individuals with a passion for working with homeless people to join us in St Helens. We are looking to appoint Support Workers to work within Salisbury House, St Helens.
This is a 64-bed Lifehouse accommodating both males and females aged 18+. Support Workers are responsible for delivering a high-quality support programme that promotes client choice and control.
The Support Worker will address clients' support needs on an individual basis, enable them to make positive life choices, and empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
They will also perform daily activities including administrative tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.
The successful candidate will:
* Be able to prioritize their workload through good time management
* Be IT literate
* Have good written and verbal communication skills
* Have knowledge of the main support needs faced by homeless and vulnerable clients
* Be able to work within the Christian Ethos of The Salvation Army
