We are looking for an enthusiastic GP to join our team at Crocus Medical Practice, a forward-thinking training practice. We are a supportive team passionate about teaching, innovation, and excellent patient care. The successful applicant will work 6 sessions a week (Thursday and Friday, with the third day negotiable) and manage a varied caseload addressing the health needs of the local population. This is a 6-month fixed-term position starting mid-September.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake duties including surgery and telephone consultations, triage calls and visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and managing queries, paperwork, and correspondence efficiently.
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, developing care plans in line with Practice protocols, and assisting in establishing systems to manage common chronic conditions are key responsibilities.
Completing administrative and clinical duties related to service delivery, referring patients for further intervention as needed, and recording consultation notes clearly and promptly are essential tasks. The role also involves issuing computer-generated prescriptions and performing all normal duties expected of a GP in primary care.

Crocus Medical Practice is a busy, two-site GMS practice in North Essex, near Cambridge, with close links to Addenbrooke's Hospital. Both sites are dispensing and use Systmone.
Job responsibilities
As per the practice timetable, the post-holder will perform duties including consultations, home visits, prescription management, and handling queries and paperwork efficiently.
Making autonomous decisions regarding patient care, assessing undiagnosed problems, screening for risk factors, developing care plans, providing health education, and managing patient caseloads are core responsibilities.
Accurate record-keeping, issuing prescriptions (preferably electronically), and prescribing according to formulary are also required. The post involves fulfilling all typical GP responsibilities within primary care.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
* Valid GMC number
* On the NHSE medical performers list
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
* Familiar with S1, Accurx, and Docman
