Wood Transmission & Distribution Ltd is recruiting a Site Engineer (enabling works) with a Civils bias for an Overhead Lines Project (OHL) in Argyll, Scotland. The role focuses on supporting the enabling works phase of overhead lines sites before tower assembly and erection.
As a Civils Site Engineer, you will oversee daily health & safety protocols for staff and subcontractors, report incidents, manage project resources, ensure safety standards compliance, support documentation and reporting for Construction and Project Managers, and coordinate with stakeholders.
This is a site-based, long-term project supporting our client SSE in Argyll. Join our growing team at Wood T&D.

The Role
Reporting to the OHL Construction Manager, you will oversee the Enabling Works and Access Roads management team, coordinate foremen and subcontractors, liaise with clients and third parties, and manage onboarding and site inductions to support a growing workload across overhead lines (OHL). You will contribute to the UK government's pathway to 2030 and the transition to net zero.

Expected
* Industry experience in a similar role
* Safety Qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
* Experience managing subcontractors and measurement recording
