Hays are partnering with a highly successful, private equity–backed manufacturing business with a turnover of c.£250m and a strong market position across the UK and European markets. The organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth,mercial optimisation, and strategic investment. As part of the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future trajectory of the business.
Your new role
As Finance Director, you will act as the financial lead for the organisation, partnering closely with the CEO, Board and PE investors to deliver both operational and strategic objectives. You will drive financial performance, lead on reporting andernance, and support the business through its next stage of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading the full finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, processes andernance.
2. Owning budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and financial planning.
3. Providing timely, insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
4. Partnering with operational leaders across manufacturing, supply chain andmercial teams to improve performance.
5. Managing investor relations and presenting financial information to the Board and PE stakeholders.
6. Leading value-creation initiatives including cost optimisation, margin improvement and efficiency projects.
7. Supporting M&A activities, refinancing processes and potential exit planning.
8. Developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualified experience.
10. Proven track record as a Finance Director or senior finance leader within a PE-backed, manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
11. Strongmercial acumen with the ability to influence at executive and investor level.
12. Experience in fast-paced, transformation-oriented settings.
13. Exceptional leadership skills and a hands-on, improvement-focused mindset.
What you'll get in return
14. A base salary of £120,000 - £130,000 + bonus & benefits.
