Join to apply for the Community Maternity Support Worker role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated experienced Maternity Support Worker to support community midwives based at Oxford Road Campus. You will support parents in caring for and feeding their babies and undertake parent education.
You will perform blood tests and observations on mothers and babies, support midwives with administration tasks such as ordering blood tests and booking appointments, and maintain a clean environment, restock equipment, and support families in the community with a focus on public health promotion.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as you will communicate with women by phone and work closely with families in their homes. Candidates should expect to work shifts covering days, weekends, and public holidays, with a roster planned to ensure fairness and accommodate family commitments.
Please note that shortlisted candidates must meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification document.
