The role will suit an experienced Senior Legal Counsel aiming to progress into a General Counsel position. It is a fully office-based role at Heathrow Airport (5 days a week).

You will take a strategic view of our risk exposure and provide necessary advice to mitigate risks within our expanding and multifaceted business. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide accurate and timely legal counsel to executives on various topics (commercial agreements, dispute resolution, corporate finance, and commercial law).
2. Oversee complex legal transactions from a project management perspective, ensuring appropriate input from all stakeholders.
3. Lead risk management strategies within the company.
4. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
5. Handle Company Secretarial duties.
6. Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents as needed.
7. Manage external counsel and consultants to ensure value for money.
8. Clarify legal language or specifications for internal stakeholders.
9. Stay updated on legislative changes and developments.
Skills & Experience
1. Legal Qualification – Qualified UK solicitor with at least 10 years PQE (will consider other PQE levels and qualified lawyers from other common law jurisdictions eligible for QLT).
2. Strong knowledge of corporate law, especially corporate finance, dispute resolution, and contracts.
3. Methodical with excellent attention to detail.
4. Strong commercial outlook and pragmatic legal approach.
5. Solid training from reputable law firms or business environments.
6. Proven experience as legal counsel in a fast-paced business setting.
7. High professional ethics and integrity.
8. Good judgment and analytical skills.
9. Able to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent communication skills.
11. Approximately 8 years of experience in a small to medium national law firm before transitioning to a business role.
