* Proven experience designing and delivering Power BI solutions in a production environment.
* Experience in SaaS or similar fast‑paced, data‑driven environments is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
* Advanced Power BI expertise:
o Strong data modelling skills (star schema, dimensional modelling, relationships, granularity management).
o Advanced DAX for complex calculations and performance tuning.
* Advanced SQL skills:
o Writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance optimisation.
* Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, including:
o Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).
o Kimball dimensional modelling methodology.
* Strong understanding of BI performance optimisation techniques (model design, aggregation, incremental refresh, efficient measures).
Analytical & Soft Skills
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insights in clear, business‑friendly language.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality outputs within deadlines.

Job Responsibilities
Power BI Development & Ownership
* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI solutions, including semantic models (datasets), reports, and dashboards.
* Build scalable and optimised data models following best practices (star schema, Kimball methodology, proper relationships, reusable measures).
* Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex business logic.
* Use Power Query (M) for efficient data transformation and shaping.
* Ensure performance optimisation of reports and datasets (model size control, query folding, measure optimisation, incremental refresh where applicable).
* Manage deployment processes across environments (e.g., Dev/Test/Prod) and promote version control and structured release practices.
Data Modeling & Architecture Collaboration
* Partner closely with the Senior Data Engineer to ensure data is structured according to BI best practices (medallion architecture, curated layers, dimensional modelling).
* Contribute to defining and maintaining a scalable semantic layer that enables self‑service analytics while maintaining consistency.
* Support data architecture decisions from a reporting and analytics perspective.
Data Quality & Governance
* Validate and reconcile data using SQL and other tools to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting assets.
* Implement and uphold governance standards in Power BI (naming conventions, documentation, workspace organisation, certified datasets, access control).
* Ensure reports are aligned with data governance policies and security requirements (e.g., row‑level security where needed).
Business Engagement & Insight Delivery
