Overview
Baker Manager role at a professional cake factory based in Sheffield, specialising in a wide variety of cakes — including birthday cakes, cheesecakes, mousse cakes, sponge cakes, mille crepe cakes, and European-style cakes. As our business grows, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Baker Manager to lead the baking team and oversee daily production, quality control, and new product development.

Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom • Job Type: Full-time • Salary: 29,000-32,000
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily production schedules and ensure high-quality output across all cake lines;
* Lead, train, and supervise a team of bakers and assistants to achieve production targets;
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards;
* Manage ingredient inventory, procurement, and cost control;
* Participate in new product development and recipe improvement;
* Monitor equipment operation and coordinate maintenance when needed;
* Work closely with management to plan production according to sales and seasonal demand;
* Continuously improve production efficiency and workflow.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in baking production or kitchen management;
* Strong knowledge of cake and dessert production processes and recipe formulation;
* Proven leadership and team management skills;
* Attention to detail, hygiene, and quality standards;
* Basic English communication skills (Mandarin proficiency is an advantage);
* Food safety certification or professional baking qualifications are preferred.
