Job title: Deputy Design Manager
Location: HMP Grendon, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and HMP Garth & Wymott, Leyland, Lancashire
Based from either site, covering both projects
Play a key role in supporting the delivery of two high-profile justice projects.
We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic Deputy Design Manager to support the architectural and façade design packages across HMP Grendon and HMP Garth & Wymott. This role is well suited to someone looking to take the next step in their design management career while working closely with an experienced Design Manager across complex live projects.
Responsibilities
* Support coordination of architectural and façade design packages across both projects.
* Review design information for compliance, buildability and completeness.
* Assist with the production, control and issue of design documentation.
* Track progress against the design programme and contribute to reporting.
* Support change management, risk updates and statutory compliance activities.
* Provide site support to help resolve technical and design queries.
Qualifications
* A degree in Architecture or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with design consultants in multi-disciplinary environments.
* Exposure to site delivery and construction methods.
* Strong organisation skills and a collaborative approach.
* A willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
