As a member of our Ground Operations Team at Edinburgh Airport, our Dispatch colleagues play an essential role in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft and assisting customers with the check-in process, managing queues, and offering assistance upon arrival at the airport.

We offer a 30 or 37.5-hour per week contract on a Permanent Seasonal basis, with unpaid breaks during quieter winter months.
What will you do as a Dispatcher?
* Facilitate aircraft turnaround, working with all involved teams including Ground Operations, third-party providers, Flight Deck, and Cabin Crew.
* Perform pre-flight checks, prepare loading documentation, including trim calculations and loading instructions.
* Operate equipment safely, adhere to legal and company regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
* Welcome customers at check-in, assist at kiosks and desks, and manage queues efficiently.
* Provide friendly, effective service that meets customer needs and promotes brand values.
This role requires shift work with a rolling pattern of 4 days on, 2 days off, including early mornings, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays. Roster provided 4 weeks in advance.
What Experience Will I Need?
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Ground Operations, understanding aircraft turnaround processes, and ideally dispatch or supervisory experience. A positive, conscientious approach, teamwork skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize are essential. A full UK Driving Licence and the ability to pass an airport medical are also required.
